In an exciting new endeavor, KPW Productions will be introducing Pop-Up Art Shows at Equestrian Events! I’ve always had a passion for art. I majored in History of Art in college and worked at The Knoedler Art Gallery in New York City. I’ve already had the great fortune to combine my passion for art with event design by applying my creative eye and talent for floral design to produce parties and events at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, PAFA, and The Barnes Foundation. In the last 10 years, my husband and I have started our own art collection and have met some super talented local artists. This summer, I had a unique opportunity to work with a friend and colleague, Lauren Addis of LAA Collective, to produce an art show at the Brandywine Horse Show. The experience was life-changing. I know now that moving forward I want to work towards connecting people through art.

My other passion in life is riding my horse, Levi, and competing in horse shows. “I love art and I love horses, it’s that simple”. Equestrians love photos and paintings of their horses and dogs, as well as of their barns and property. So, connecting art, artists, and the equestrian community seems only appropriate. The Pop-Up Art Shows have started with equestrians that are artists and, I’ll be introducing emerging artists to the equestrian world. The Art is chosen based on a feeling: when I look at a piece of art and say, “Wow,” and then look twice. I want to share that experience with others.

The art presented at the art shows will be for sale and we will be encouraging commissions. A portion of some of the proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations; we believe that giving back is an important and essential aspect of being part of a community. We’re currently working on the details of the non-profit for our show at The National Horse Show in Lexington Kentucky and look forward to sharing further information about that in the near future.

Connecting people through art is an amazing experience and watching people experience art is awesome. Combining both art and the equestrian community is the driving force for this next venture and we’re looking forward to seeing where it will take us!

And, yes we will continue to plan and design weddings and special events in the Philadelphia area, Florida and whatever destination our couples choose!

All the best,
Kathy Warden
