West 28th street is home to the new york flower market; wholesalers line the street and during the winter months, the sidewalks are landscaped with trees that today, were dusted with a new fallen snow; trays of wheat grass and blooming bulbs are tucked under the awnings of the storefronts.

Inside the doors; i am instantly overwhelmed by the sites and smells; flowers from all over the world are stacked on the wire shelves.

Sweet peas are one of my most favorite wedding flowers and are especially wonderful in bouquets; they have great fragrance, texture and color.

I was so excited to see these sweetpeas; white, pale pink, dark pink, lavender and purple..
I was especialy taken by the wonderful variety of blue, green and purple flowers; the following images are close ups of some of my most favorite flowers; that combined would create a beautiful arrangement; sure to cure the winter blues!
