The wedding of Erik and Stephanie was equal parts a celebration of their love and friendship, a celebration of their faith, and a celebration of their friends and family. The evening was filled with love, beauty, and a true gratitude for one another. They wanted to honor, above all, their faith, family, and friends because it was a combination of those three that supported and encouraged their relationship from the very beginning.
After the incredibly sweet proposal while on a hike in Steph’s childhood vacation spot of Meredith, NH, the couple knew they wanted to take a non-traditional approach to their wedding day (they opted to skip the traditional toasts and give the welcome speech themselves!). With Erik’s love of planning and Steph’s passion for decorating, they both took part in the design and planning process of their big day. The wedding reception was held in the gardens of The Horticultural Center of Philadelphia and featured simply beautiful succulents, rich burgundy hues, and even a photo of their adorable and beloved dogs on the entrance table.
We adorned the wood farm tables with vintage gold candelabras and gold taper candles surrounded by Cherry Bark cylinders filled with Quicksand Roses, Burgundy Dahlia, Burgundy Astilbe, White Anemone, Seeded Eucalyptus, Olive Branches, and loose succulents. This unique and rustic tablescape was accented with ivory votive candles for soft and romantic lighting.
Loose blooms, lanterns, terrariums, and amber hurricanes decorated the escort card table, while glass votives lined the edges of the ponds, creating a simply organic atmosphere. Blush, mauve, burgundy, and a dash of greenery was the color palette in Steph’s beautifully textured bridal bouquet. Olive branches and seeded eucalyptus accented the bridal party’s bouquets and boutonnières. The flower girl wore a timeless flower crown of greenery, Astrantia, and Dahlia blooms.
We worked with STARR Events and Maggpie Vintage to personally craft and create Erik and Steph’s gorgeous and eclectic evening.
