We asked Ed Knight, the Founder and Owner of EventQuip,

Why a tent?
There’s always the “in case it rains” part of the answer, and I agree that shelter is a good reason. The following is a list of reasons that people consider a tent for their event:
– Alfresco is great, but a beautiful tent makes an outdoor space more intimate.
– There is an emotional attachment to the site i.e..
family home or other major significance.
– Shade!!

– There is a need to enlarge an existing venue i.e.. add a room to a house.
– Extend build time. Extensive decor can take days
or even weeks to install.

How much money will I need to plan to spend if I want to consider having a tented event?
The amount of money needed for a tented event depends on the site, the season and the client’s needs, priorities and expectations. You will need a trusted tent vendor and party planner to help you prioritize your event needs and to define your budget.
What is the value for EventQuip to work with a planner versus directly with the client?
Most clients have all the best intentions and a sincere emotional
interest, but not enough experience. A planner brings the experience
and the managerial skills to the event production process. The process starts with a planner helping

Many times our clients are faced with the question of “To floor, or not to floor”. Nine times out of ten, our clients choose to floor their tent. There are several beautiful flooring options that you can consider: astro turf, carpet, sisal carpet, and custom wood flooring. Most tent companies will give you quotes for all of the above to help you educate yourself and choose the best solution.
