We love Philadelphia but thanks to the kind invitation from our friends at Elan Artists,
TableArt hit the road and we were guests at an evening
of invigorating tastes, sounds and designs at the Ace Hotel in New York.
The Ace Hotel is a best kept secret, boutique hotel located in the heart of Midtown.
Liberty Hall and The Boardroom are great spaces for
corporate events, rehearsal dinners or for private off the hook events
like the one we just attended.
The lobby decor has the right balance of vintage and modern elements and
rumor has it that bar scene stays open late.
We love how the custom designed, wrought iron lighting fixtures
circumvented the structural support columns.
This amazing image of the lobby was captured by Shane Carpenter Weddings.
Let’s face it, cool is cool, and TableArt recognizes and appreciates
the talent and artistry of other designers. In what could have been a non descript corner,
Emily Thompson Flowers created a fabulous, organic still life
accented with overhead lighting from a vintage desk lamp.
While a vintage desk lamp intimately lit one cozy corner, the entire room
was electronically warmed by a modern, large scale, video projection
of a wood burning fireplace provided by Levy Lighting .
How fun is the contrast of a modern, fireplace video projection
next to the ambient candlelight provided by pillar candles
set inside the cargo space of this vintage truck.
Send us a picture if you see this while driving on I-95.
Beautiful flowers…we love to see them wherever we go!
Tasty bites provided by Breslin had Eastern European flair:
smoked salmon moose on toast, pastry melts, and meat and cheese empandas.
The Moscow Mule and Rock the Casbah were two of our favorite specialty drinks
– seconds were a must… just to make sure…
What better backdrop for the unique and diversified bands
of Elan Artists than a wall of stacked vintage speakers.
In his signature, photojournalistic style, Shane Carpenter Weddings
captured the amazing performances by
Carte Blanche, Rhythm Collective, The Hudson Project and La Femme Classique.
It was great to meet new industry friends from 100 Layer Cake
and to be inspired by the amazing work of Shane Carpenter Weddings,
Levy Lighting, Breslin, and Emily Thompson Flowers.
Many thanks to Elan Artists for having TableArt to The Ace Hotel in NYC.
PS – We safely returned to Philadelphia and did not see any pick up trucks
ablaze with pillar candles on I-95. We will let you know if we do.
